Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova: Russians involve teenagers from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in hostilities.

According to information received from partner human rights organizations working in ORDLO, a graduate of the military-patriotic club “Youth of Novorossiya” of the Patriotic Association of Donbass – Andriy “Cerberus” died while performing the combat missions of the occupiers. On April 15, 2022, the boy was buried.

Military-patriotic club “Youth of Novorossia” is located in Molodogvardiysk, Krasnodon district of Luhansk region. Formed on November 2, 2014.

The club trains children from 10 to 18 years old in the following areas: military training, physical training, medicine, history, tactics.

More than 90 children are members of the club. It has been established that the majority of children are orphans, children who are in difficult life circumstances.

The organization “Patriotic Association of Donbass” coordinates the activities of military-patriotic clubs and organizations in the temporarily occupied territory in Luhansk region.

The head of the organization is Oleksiy Selivanov, currently heads the so-called «Energodar Interdistrict Police Department» in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhia region.

By promoting the entry of civilians into the temporarily occupied territories, Russia is grossly violating the laws and customs of war under the 1949 Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child on Armed Conflict.
