The most difficult sowing campaign in Ukraine

The most challenging sowing campaign in the history of independence continues in Ukraine. Due to the war, sowing in 2022 will become even more crucial because the food security of both Ukraine and the world depends on the work of Ukrainian farmers

The war caused agrarians a lot of problems. In particular, in Sumy, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolayiv, sometimes in Kyiv and Kharkiv oblasts, even land plots to which farmers have access are often mined. People are afraid to work on them. In Kherson oblast, there are cases of targeted strikes on warehouses, agricultural machinery parking, and engineering bases in order to disrupt sowing.

The state continues to work on solving urgent problems faced by farmers. Access to fuel, registration of agricultural machinery, and seed certification have already been simplified. Licensing of pesticides and agrochemicals has been deregulated.
