For a year now, the all-out Russian-Ukrainian war has forced Ukrainians to live in the most traumatizing conditions when they see fellow citizens killed daily, Russian troops committing atrocious war crimes, and their own life is always at risk.
Constant emotional swings have become a new normal for most, and the trauma will have long-lasting effects long after the war is over, but Ukrainian society has already developed some level of psychological resilience through these hard times.
Information space plays a great role in influencing the emotional states of society, and it is necessary that those producing content talk about the phases of emotional responses during the war and provide helpful information on how to cope with constant stress and anxiety. Experts in today’s Ukraine In Flames episode will explain Ukrainian society’s state of mind today and what may be expected in the future.
