One year anniversary of liberation of the Kyiv region

After over a year of a large-scale war, Ukraine marks the anniversary of the de-occupation of the Kyiv region which became one of the first targets of Russian invaders. 270 settlements of the Kyiv region felt the horrors of Russian occupation.

A year ago, after the deoccupation of the region, the whole world was shocked by the terrifying face of the Russian world, such as the Bucha massacre. Ukraine still fixes and documents Russian war crimes found there, preparing the evidence for the international tribunal.

A year ago, the settlements of Kyiv region were more or less. After the de-occupation, life has started to return there — and this is another manifestation of the unbreakable Ukrainian spirit.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
