Moldova and Ukraine Forge Closer Ties in the Wake of Russian Aggression

Moldova is a traditional target of Russian propaganda — and this experience unites the country with Ukraine in a way. The occupied Transnistria region also puts Moldova under constant threat from Russia.

Except for all the tragic changes the large-scale war has brought to Ukraine, it also strengthened the relations between our country and Moldova. The constant threat from Russia will always remain in some form — and this requires a partnership and mutual support between Ukraine and its neighbors.

During Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the threats and fears of a possible escalation in the occupied Transnistria, which is dependent on Russia politically and economically, also increased. This is another proof that the aggressor state constitutes a danger not only to Ukraine but to the entire free world and has to be defeated with joint efforts.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
