Since Ukraine’s independence in 1991, the country’s diplomatic presence in the Middle East was not very active. However, after Russia’s large-scale invasion, especially in the last six months.
Since then, the strategy of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has changed its strategic objectives and started paying more attention to the Middle East, especially the Gulf countries.
Now, Ukraine is working carefully on its diplomatic and cultural presence in the Middle East, making the representation of Ukraine more visible there and preparing the ground for further cooperation.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
