Munich Security Conference – Key Takeaways from Ukrainian MPs

The annual security conference in Munich has become one of the most intense in recent years because, in the 3rd year of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, global security threats have become as obvious as possible for all participants. At the same time, against the background of a specific decrease in international military support for Ukraine, the delay in the supply of artillery ammunition and other weapons worries both ordinary Ukrainians and people’s deputies.

Global security challenges, which are mostly related to the activity of the so-called axis of evil (Russia, China, Iran, and the DPRK), lead not only to international tension but also to the complication of decision-making within democratic states. Elections in most world countries are guided by intensifying internal disputes, which distract politicians from the potential of real military threats in the face of increasingly aggressive autocracies.

The main topic of this conference is Ukraine, which is very important for the security of the European region. In the end, the most important thing is that following the results of the discussions in Munich, the leaders of states and institutions will be able to mobilize their resources to achieve essential assistance to stop the aggressors not only in Europe but throughout the world.
