The Vilnius NATO summit did not reject or accelerate Ukraine’s aspirations for membership but left the process uncertain.
Even though no obstacles have been created, the path to NATO membership for Ukraine remains challenging, with opportunities and uncertainties ahead. Meanwhile, thanks to its efforts and the support of its partners, Ukraine continues to advance toward deepening ties between NATO and Ukraine.
This emphasizes the need to examine the benefits Ukraine received from the summit and potential steps to receive an invitation to NATO in the future. Russia is also trying to oppose this integration informationally, promoting discrediting narratives to the respective countries.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
