Debunking blatant lies from Tucker Carlson interview

During the two-hour interview with Vladimir Putin, Tucker Carlson failed to address key issues, such as war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine and the abduction of Ukrainian children, while also promoting false claims made by Putin to justify Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The interview was full of false and manipulated facts about both Ukraine’s and Russia’s history and has been debunked by many fact checkers, labelling it as an invention of Russian propaganda to justify aggression against Ukraine.

Putin’s assertion that Ukraine succumbed to Johnson’s demands, extending the war, is refuted, with evidence showing that Russia tried to persuade Ukraine to surrender during negotiations, which failed to reach an acceptable result. Putin’s statement that Lenin and Stalin created Ukraine is countered by historical facts, highlighting that Ukraine was formed by the Ukrainian national movement after the collapse of empires within the Ukrainian ethnic majority territory.

The assertion of a “civil war” between Russians in Ukraine is debunked, emphasizing that Ukraine is a diverse nation with citizens of different ethnic origins living in harmony and mutual understanding.
The claim that the United States needs to “negotiate with Russia” to end the war is negated, citing Russia’s consistent violation of international agreements and its refusal to comply with signed agreements as evidence against negotiating with Russia to end the conflict.
