After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the state’s information policy became one of the most essential tools for attracting foreign support. One of these battlefields was Latin America, whose economy and political position significantly affected international support for Ukraine or Russia
Attracting Latin American journalists to trips to Ukraine and showing them the truth about Russia’s war crimes plays an essential role in shaping an agenda beneficial to Ukraine. However, Russian propaganda in these countries is still intense and various festivals and media work to turn the world against a democratic, free Ukraine.
That is why such initiatives in the form of press conferences are significant for countering this propaganda and forming an image of Ukraine that will attract more outstanding international support.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
