Militants used no heavy weapons along the entire frontline in the ATO zone yesterday. “At the same time, in certain areas the enemy systematically opened small arms and grenade launchers fire,” informed Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.
In Luhansk sector Russia-backed militants violated the ceasefire only once attacking Novozvanivka with grenade launchers around 20:00.
In Donetsk sector the situation remains tense in Kamianka – Avdiivka – Shakhta Butovka position frontline. “Pro-Russian troops repeatedly attacked Ukrainian position with small arms and grenade launchers,” elaborated Col. Motuzyanyk. Moreover, militants attacked Maiorsk and Zaitseve with light weapons. In total, Ukrainian troops recorded 15 ceasefire violations in this sector.
In Mariupol sector, militants conducted attacks in its southern mostly. “Around 06:00 militants opened grenade launcher fire at Talakivka. Following this, the ceasefire held along the entire frontline till the evening. Russian proxies conducted several small arms attacks on Hnutove, Talakivka, Vodiane and Shyrokyne between 19:00 and midnight,” said the spokesman. In total, militants conducted 10 armed provocations in this sector yesterday.
One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in action yesterday. It happened near Zaitseve in a hostile attack.
