The situation in ATO zone did not change much in previous 24 hours. “The enemy conducted sporadic attacks at Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions using mostly infantry weapons. In total, Russian proxies committed 12 ceasefire violations yesterday. Ukrainian troops returned fire using small arms and grenade launchers in eight cases,” reported Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Colonel Andriy Lysenko at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. No Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action, but two troops sustained wounds and were promptly evacuated to hospital.
In Donetsk sector, militants violated the ceasefire five times using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms. “The largest number of attacks was recorded in the vicinity of Avdiivka and Shakhta Butovka position. The situation was also difficult near Kamianka where the enemy used grenade launchers and IFVs weapons,” elaborated Col. Lysenko.
In Mariupol sector, militants conducted four aimed attacks in the afternoon. “Two of these took place near Vodiane, while two more were recorded in the outskirts of Shyrokyne and Starohnativka,” said the spokesman.
In Luhansk sector, militants opened fire against Ukrainian positions three times. Militants were attacking Ukrainian positions with 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms near Krymske. Ukrainian troops returned fire using small arms and grenade launchers.
