More than 525 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation – 183 children were killed and 342 received injuries of varying severity.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported this on the morning of April 11, 2022.
These data are not conclusive, as inspection of sites of active hostilities and liberated settlements and receiving information on the temporarily occupied territories are underway.
Children suffered the most in Donetsk – 110, Kyiv – 98, Kharkiv – 76, Chernihiv – 54, Mykolaiv – 40, Luhansk – 35, Zaporizhzhia – 22, Kherson – 29, the capital – 16, Sumy – 16, Zhytomyr – 15 regions.
- The body of a 15-year-old boy with gunshot wounds was found during the recording of criminal offenses committed in the town of Vorzel in the Kyiv region.
- On March 14, two boys, aged 12 and 14, died as a result of shelling in the village of Rozvazhiv, Vyshhorod district, Kyiv region.
- A family with a 5-year-old child died in the shelling in Borodianka, Kyiv region. Their bodies have only just been discovered.
- On April 10, a 16-year-old boy was injured in an artillery shelling of a town in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region.
- On April 9, a 14-year-old girl received a gunshot wound to the neck and spinal cord injuries as a result of artillery shelling by the Russian military in the village of Stanislav, Bilozerka district, Kherson region.
938 educational institutions were damaged by bombing and shelling by the Russian armed forces. 87 of them were destroyed.
