Almost one thousand children suffered in Ukraine during over four month of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 348 children were killed and more than 650 were injured.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish the facts in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied, and liberated territories.
Children suffered the most in the Donetsk region – 348, Kharkiv region – 190, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 61, Mykolaiv region – 53, Kherson region – 52, Zaporizhia region – 31.
On July 11, a 17-year-old boy was killed in Kharkiv as a result of Russian occupiers’ massive shelling of the civilian infrastructure, and two boys aged 4 and 16 have got wounds of varying degrees of severity. 2,121 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by Russian armed forces. 216 of them were completely destroyed.
