Kyiv, 17 March 2015 – Regardless of the peaceful agreements separatists keep firing at the ATO forces positions in Donetsk and Luhansk regions: in the last day the ceasefire was violated 30 times. It was stated by Anatoliy Stelmakh, ATO Staff spokesman via Skype at the Ukraine Crisis Media Center.
“Illegal armed groups fired at Avdiivka at 7:50, 12:45 and 17:30 from 122-mm artillery. Illegal criminal groups also fired at the town from tanks and twice from mortars. In the last day illegal criminal groups fired at Pisky and Opytne from small arms and automatic grenade-launchers,” specified ATO Staff spokesman.
Anatoliy Stelmakh also noted that at the Mariupol direction illegal criminal groups fired at Shyrokyne town 4 times from small arms and mortars. In the last day the enemy used mortars and artillery 19 times, artillery 3 times, tanks 4 times and small arms 7 times.
However according to the ATO Staff starting from 00:00 on 17 March separatists stopped firing at the positions and territories controlled by the ATO forces.
