Kyiv, March 27, 2015. The number of armed provocations instigated by the pro-Russian militants over the night of March 26-27 has slightly decreased, stated Anatoliy Stelmakh, ATO Staff spokesman, via Skype at a briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center. However, Russian proxies occasionally use mortars to fire at the Ukrainian military positions. “The militants used 120-mm mortars to fire at our positions neat Slvane, Donetsk region, at 8:45 pm. They have also fired from grenade launchers and small arms at Pisky,” the ATO Staff spokesman added.

Anatoliy Stelmakh also noted that the militants used 120-mm mortars in the Mariupol sector. Starting from 10:55 pm and almost until 1 am, the militants were firing at Shyrokyne. In the Luhansk region, militants fired from small arms at the Ukrainian military positions by Sokilnyky. “Overall, the militants violated ceasefire seven times between 8 pm and midnight. Another ceasefire violation was recorded from midnight until 5am,” Anatoliy Stelmakh concluded.
