As of the morning of April 25, more than 606 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation – 215 children were killed and 391 received injuries of varying severity.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported this.
Children suffered the most in regions such as Donetsk – 124, Kyiv – 114, Kharkiv – 93, Chernihiv – 66, Kherson – 44, Mykolaiv – 43, Luhansk – 37, Zaporizhzhia – 27, Sumy – 17, the capital – 16, and Zhytomyr – 15.
These data are not conclusive, as inspection of sites of active hostilities and liberated settlements and receiving information on the temporarily occupied territories are underway.
- On April 24, two girls aged 5 and 14 were killed in a shelling of the city of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region by Russian troops.
- On April 23-24, the occupiers fired on the Kharkiv region again. An 11-year-old boy was injured in the shelling of Chuhuiv.
- On April 23, a 12-year-old child was injured in shelling of the village of Turove, Bohodukhiv district, Kharkiv region.
1500 educational institutions were damaged by bombing and shelling of the Russian armed forces, 102 of them were destroyed.
