As of the morning of May 2, more than 624 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation – 219 children were killed, and 405 received injuries of varying severity.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported this.
Children suffered the most in regions such as Donetsk – 139, Kyiv – 115, Kharkiv – 95, Chernihiv – 68, Kherson – 45, Mykolaiv – 43, Luhansk – 37, Zaporizhzhia – 27, Sumy – 17, the capital – 16, and Zhytomyr – 15.
These data are not conclusive, as inspection of sites of active hostilities and liberated settlements and receiving information on the temporarily occupied territories are underway.
On April 29, a 15-year-old boy was injured in an artillery shelling by the occupiers in the village of Vremivka, Velyki Novosilky district, Donetsk region.
1570 educational institutions were damaged by bombing and shelling of the Russian armed forces, 111 of them were destroyed.
