In the Kyiv region, between villages of Motyzhyn and Yasnohorodka, the occupiers shot at civilian cars, trying to escape from the hostilities.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
The bodies of 37 people were found on the almost seven-kilometer road between the villages. They were shot dead by the Russian military in March when they were present in the region.
WSJ journalists analyzed videos from car recorders, social media posts and talked to eyewitnesses. They talk about two roads in the Makariv district of Kyiv region, which lead from Motyzhyn to the north. In these ways, people tried to escape from the occupation. However, the Russian military ruthlessly fired on cars.
The WSJ concluded that the Russian military was shooting at people with mortars. One such incident was filmed by a car videorecorder on March 3.
Cars with white stripes on mirrors and the inscription “Kids” in huge letters were also found on the road.
