“The industrial city is completely destroyed, there are no surviving buildings, it is impossible to restore many houses. There are cemeteries in the yards,” stated Serhii Haidai, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.

According to Gaidai, before the war the city had more than 60,000 inhabitants, and now these people are divided into three categories: those who were evacuated to safe places in Ukraine or abroad; those deported to Russia or the occupied territories; those who are still held hostage by the Kadyrovites and live in the basements of the city.

“The looted burnt brick boxes are now OUR Rubizhne. We will build it almost from scratch,” resumed the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
