How Australia helps Ukraine: weapons and diplomatic support

Despite the territorial remoteness, Australia has an active Ukrainian diaspora and the country’ s government supports Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty from the first days of Russia’s large-scale invasion.

Australian authorities show solidarity with Ukraine, imposing economic sanctions against Russia and providing military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine in its fight against the Russian totalitarian regime. Ukrainian refugees who were forced to flee their homes, are welcomed to Australia. Both the government and the Ukrainian community of the state host them and help them and help to adjust to a new life.

The Australian parliament stands with Ukraine, providing its Armed Forces with fighting and reconnaissance drones, artillery pieces and ammunition. Active citizens also ask for more government support and more military aid for Ukraine. The Australian society believes in Ukraine’s victory and does everything possible to accelerate it.

Speakers:

  • Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia
  • Stefan Romaniw, Co-chair of Australian Federation of Ukrainian organisations, Vice President of Ukrainian World Congres.
