Russian army’s losses has recently exceeded 100 thousand in manpower, 3 thousand in tanks, 6 thousand in APCs only, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian military has also lost more aircraft since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24 than the Soviet Union did in the 10-year war in Afghanistan.
The outstanding losses of the Russian Federation deprived the aggressor from the ability to fight the war and hold the captured territories. Calling it “regrouping of the forces”, Russia withdrew its troops from the Kyiv region, and later from the Kharkiv region and the right bank of the Kherson region.
The Ukrainian defenders are working relentlessly to make the Russian losses constantly grow. The “world’s second army” is failing on every front, and the recent “partial” mobilization does not seem to be helping the enemy. Lacking training and morale, the newly mobilized will not be able to stand the highly-motivated Ukrainian defenders.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
