Russian aggression destroyed not only people’s lives but also the lives of animals. Under the large-scale invasion, many of them suffered from Russian occupation and ill-treatment.
Since zoos became another target for enemy shellings, some of the animals even died from stress. Others need rehabilitation and therapy.
While the Russian army tries to wipe out Ukraine, it causes damage to not only human beings but the whole ecosystem. However, Ukrainians take care of our smaller brothers — and this makes us very different from Russians.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
