Russia’s large-scale aggression targets everything that helps to shape Ukrainian identity, including high education. One of the aggressor’s goals is to deprive Ukraine of intellectual life — and attacks against Ukrainian educational institutions only prove that.
With Ukrainian universities being destroyed, damaged, or relocated and the general shortage of financial support to the “civil” segments, Ukrainian universities need state support in these harsh times.
With a transition to an online or hybrid format of studying and professors and students ending up fighting on the frontline, Ukrainian universities are now facing serious challenges.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
