Prigozhin’s Mutiny: Unraveling the Power Play and its Consequences

For 9 long years, Russia used the narrative of the civil war in Ukraine to justify its insurgency in the Donbas and the annexation of Crimea.

The disconnection of propaganda from reality always leads to the encapsulation of an unconscious population that cannot resist the influence of propaganda and the growth of discontent among those who can distinguish truth from fiction.

After Prigozhyn’s “coup,” an obvious question arises, whether the regime is so monolithic that its only threat is the minor liberal opposition or whether the civil war still has every to take place but in Russia.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
