In Mariupol sector hostilities continue in Maryinka and Volnovakha districts and in Pavlopil-Shyrokyne frontline. “Militants opened fire from 122-mm and 152-mm artillery at Krasnohorivka at night. Late in the evening they shelled Novotroitske with mortars and artillery, firing 25 projectiles at Ukrainian troops’ positions. Two provocations involving mortars took place in Pavlopil and Shyrokyne,” reported Ukrainian Ministry of Defense spokesman on ATO Colonel Andriy Lysenko at a press briefing at Ukraine Crisis Media Center.
In Luhansk sector hostilities continued in Stanytsia Luhanska, Novyi Aidar and Popasna districts. Pro-Russian militants conducted brief armed provocations in Malynove and Krymske at night, and a series of small arms attacks in Popasna district and on the outskirts of Stanytsia Luhanska in the morning and in the evening. Russian proxies carried out several provocations using grenade launchers and APC weapons between 14:00 and 20:00 near Krymske. “Russian proxies also performed a brief artillery attack at Krymske,” added the spokesman.
In Donetsk sector militants were most active in Kamianka-Avdiivka-Shakhta Butovka frontline, where militants attacked with mortars three times. “Militants fired almost 40 projectiles at Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions during one attack. Moreover, brief mortar attacks took place in Luhanske, Zaitseve, Verkhniotoretske and Pisky,” said Col. Lysenko.
In total militants conducted 14, 18 and 18 attacks in Donetsk, Mariupol and Luhansk sectors correspondingly.
No Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action, but three troops were wounded.
