The situation in the regions on the morning of April 26

The Kherson region is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe, Azovstal in Mariupol is held by the Ukrainian military, and one civilian was killed in the Mykolaiv region. The military-civil administrations reported the situation in the regions of Ukraine on the morning of April 26.

🔻Zaporizhzhia region

The night was calm. There were shellings in the morning. The circumstances and presence of the injured are being established.

🔻Kharkiv region

The intensity of the night shelling on April 26 decreased. Kharkiv, Zolochiv district, and Derhachi were under fire during the last 24 hours. Fighting is taking place in the Izium direction.

🔻Luhansk region

There were 17 shellings during the day. Fighting continues in Popasna and Rubizhne. Popasna, Lysychansk, and the Hirske community suffered the most.

Popasna withstood four powerful artillery attacks, and Lysychansk withstood two. Resident houses are damaged. 

🔻Donetsk region

The night was not calm. It is known about three wounded civilians: two in Marinka and one in Velyka Novosilka.

Fighting continues near Lyman.

The Ukrainian military is holding on at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

🔻Mykolaiv region

At night, Mykolaiv was fired upon by Russians. It is known about one victim – a man who died in his own house as a result of a shrapnel wound. Detailed information on other consequences is being clarified.

🔻Kherson region

The situation remains tense. Explosions and shelling occur almost throughout the region. The Kherson region is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.
