Since the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Hollywood stars and film celebrities have demonstrated their solidarity with Ukraine. Using their recognition, they became the global voices of the Ukrainian fight for freedom.
While the whole civilized world is now standing with Ukraine, hundreds of actors, actresses, and directors expressed their supportbut verbally and financially. While Russian propaganda actively promises the narrative about “Western fatigue from the war”, the informational support is hard to overestimate.
Some of the most active adherents of the Ukrainian struggle even advocate military aid for our country to bring victory closer as soon as possible. Some of the stars, such as Sean Penn and Angelina Jolie, became symbols of the support of Ukraine in the world, using their social capital to spread the word about the Russian-Ukrainian war in every part of the world.
UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
