Start of the new school year in Ukraine: challenges and solutions

The start of the new school year in Ukraine is marked by unique challenges and solutions due to the ongoing Russian aggressive war. One of the primary challenges is ensuring the safety and security of students and educators in areas close to the conflict zones. Many schools have implemented strict security measures, such as bomb shelters and evacuation plans, to protect students from potential attacks.

Additionally, the war has strained educational resources, with some schools having to cope with damaged infrastructure and a shortage of qualified teachers due to displacement. To address these challenges, the Ukrainian government, with the support of international organizations, has initiated various solutions.

Despite these challenges, Ukraine remains committed to providing quality education to its youth, and the resilience of its education system in the face of adversity is a testament to the determination of the Ukrainian people to secure a brighter future for their children.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
