Impact of Polish election results on Ukraine’s support

Parliamentary elections in Poland significantly impact Ukrainian-Polish relations, especially in the context of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The results of these elections may be aimed at the direction and strength of Poland’s support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.

The newly elected parliament will be formed not by the former government but by its opposition. Even though this government has a pro-Ukrainian position, there are still problems related to grain export.

It is also important to note that every year, the radical populist party, which is adept of friendship with the dictatorial regime of the Russian Federation, is gaining more and more popularity. For Ukraine, with any development of events, it is necessary to maintain friendly relations in all possible ways in order to maintain the level that was before the election season.

UKRAINE IN FLAMES project is created by Ukraine Crisis Media Center and NGO “Euroatlantic Course”. We are aiming at searching a loud support for Ukraine in the war started by Russia on the 24th of February 2022.
