19:59 Ukrainska Pravda: Evacuation of civilians from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia failed as the Russian troops fired toward the evacuation corridor. Delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged city was halted.

“(In Mariupol), 300,000 people have no access to water and food, suffer from cold. The enemy blocks us from saving them,” said the Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vershchuk. 

18:15 Security Service of Ukraine: Russia plans to blast a warehouse of ammonia in Kharkiv region and fault the Ukrainian Armed Forces for that.

In Polissya and Volyn, the Russian troops were forced to retreat. In the North, the Ukrainian troops liberated Baklanova Muraviyka.

The troops that defend Kyiv firmly hold their positions.

The Russian troops were stopped in all directions. They suffered significant losses in personnel, weapons and equipment.

Russia is spreading disinformation on Ukraine’s military and political leadership through cyber units and the federal media.

The military of the Russian Armed Forces deployed to Ukraine are demoralized. They fear that Russia’s Defnese Ministry will not pay them due to the sanctions imposed on Russia.   

In Shestovytsia, in Chernihiv region, the Russian troops seek ways to surrender. 

17:06 Operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine: The Russian troops attempted to enter the compressor stations in Novopskov in Luhansk region and Kupyansk in Kharkiv region, and interfere with the operation of the gas transportation system.

That poses a threat to safe and uninterrupted transportation of gas in Ukraine and Europe, the operator said. The company reported the threat to law enforcement, government agencies, and Gazprom.

11:14 Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: The commander of the occupier’s regiment, Colonel Andrey Zakharov, was liquidated. During the fighting in Brovary area, Kyiv region, the battalion tactical group of the 6th tank regiment (Chebarkul) of the 90th tank division of Russia’s Central Military District suffered significant losses in personnel and equipment. In particular, the regiment commander Colonel Andrey Zakharov was liquidated. The BTGr of the 6th Tank Regiment together with the BTGr of the 239th tank regiment of the 90th tank division were forced to retreat and move to the defense.

10:10 Two hundred and fifteen thousand Ukrainians have returned home from abroad since the Russian attack,  State Border Guard Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko said during a telethon, Ukrainian Pravda reported.

10:02 National Police of Ukraine: In Zhytomyr region, as a result of air attacks during March 9, 6 people were killed and 12 were injured.

08:00 More than 43,000 people were evacuated from Sumy on March 9 by buses and private cars, the head of Poltava military administration Dmytro Lunin reported. “At night, all three columns arrived in Lubny (Poltava region) and from there people by rail went to the west of the country. Those who remained in Poltava region were provided with accommodation”.

07:28 Ukraine’s State Emergency Service: The enemy with renewed vigor at night carried out shelling and aerial bombardment of various objects in residential areas of Kharkiv and rural settlements of the region. The enemy hit a private house in a village of Balaklia community. As a result of the destruction of the building, 4 people died: 2 women and 2 children. A 5-year-old girl managed to survive. She was injured and hospitalized.
